It is a prayer festival to allow young people to find Jesus, welcome
Him into their lives and build a daily relationship with Him.
Making Christ the center of our lives
is the goal of the song, prayer and community filled weekend. Jesus,
in the Blessed Sacrament,
is placed at the center of the gymnasium that has been effectively
turned into a church. Young adults surround this altar and commit
the weekend to prayer, adoration, singing, listening to talks and
sharing with other youth in an effort to empty themselves for Christ
to fill them.
During the weekend, Eucharistic Adoration prevails. Also, a Mass
will be celebrated by the Most Reverend William L. Higi, Bishop
of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is another staple of the weekend.
An opportunity to receive the sacrament is available the entire
weekend.
We also emphasize a devotion
to Mary through the recitation of
the rosary and rosary making.
Recreation and Community Building:
Throughout
the weekend, at meal times and at other breaks, the youth have an
opportunity to visit
one another, follow up on previous discussions, go to confession,
pray together.
